Black Dragon Challenge – Saturday 18th April 2026The annual Black Dragon Challenge Event is taking place once again in 2026 and is organised to raise funds for the Brecon Mountain Rescue Team.
The challenge event, which starts and finishes at Llangors Community Centre, Llangors, takes place in the beautiful area of the Brecon Beacons (Bannau Brycheiniog), is organised and run by BMRT, and we receive 100% of all money raised which goes towards funding our vital work.
The routes:
* The 28 mile Endurance route visits high points in the Brecon Beacons
* The 22 mile Standard route follows a similar path to the 28 mile route, but avoids the highest points
* The 16 mile Ridge route takes on lower elevation footpaths, designed for lesser experienced hikers, families, and children.
