About this Event

The Black Carers Project runs three different group workshops on an ongoing basis with a vision of building a network of black carers to offer a space to promote wellbeing, providing support and allowing time for creativity.

Our workshops are available to unpaid black carers who live and are registered in the borough of Southwark.

The aims of the Black Carers Project are to:

  • Strengthen resilience and wellbeing amongst black carers in Southwark
  • Raise awareness and increase the use of preventative physical and mental health interventions amongst black carers.
  • Improve access to community-based support to reduce social isolation

We offer three different group workshops which are run on a regular basis for Black Carers to share a supportive space to discuss and manage the challenges they face.
