About this Event

To support the development of a lasting legacy from the European Athletics Championships Birmingham 2026, Access Sport, with support from UK Sport and the London Marathon Foundation, are working together to deliver the ‘Beyond’ Social Impact Programme. The programme includes neurodivergence training for Sports providers in Birmingham, helping to ensure more young people are included in sport and athletics provisions within the area.

What will I get from Neurodivergence Inclusion Training?

Neurodivergence Inclusion Training is designed to increase confidence, competence, and knowledge to deliver fun and inclusive activities for all abilities and needs. The workshop explores the experiences of Neurodivergent people in a range of sporting contexts, and what we can do to ensure the best experience possible.

Within this training, there will be opportunities to share your own experiences, and hear from peers and facilitators, contributing to a broader understanding of some of the barriers faced by Neurodivergent individuals.

As part of our commitment to the European Athletics Championships legacy, Some of the training will consider the Athletic principles of ‘Run, Jump & Throw’, alongside access to resources and opportunities related to Athletics provision after the training, as well as our core Access Sport training resources.
