BOOKING ESSENTIAL.Birds are everywhere, from remote places to our towns and cities. But can you recognise them? Join our walk to see what's here at Mersehead and get familiar with some of the common and rarer songbirds.
Bring binoculars and your favourite bird guides if you have some, a notebook and pen/pencil.
Tips will be given on recommended guides and how to use these in helping identify what you find.
We have a small number of pairs of binoculars which can be loaned out for a small charge at the event, if needed.
The session will take place outdoors with some time spent indoors and is suitable for wheelchair users.
Additional car parking charges apply to non-RSPB members. Families are welcome (though event not suitable for early years) and tickets for children (over the age of 3 years) can be purchased on the day at half price of adult tickets, at our visitor centre.
Please also note that, as the reserve location is prone to flooding, we ask that all individuals/groups attending provide a telephone number, so we can notify you in advance if the event needs to be cancelled at short notice.
