About this Event
Join TRCA for a spring bird hike through the unique landscape and ecology of Biidaasige Park. Educators will share the history of the park and lead a guided walk through the park's wetland and meadow ecosystems to observe both resident and migratory birds.
Binoculars and bird identification guides will be available for participants to use during the program.
This walk is part of TRCA's Spring Bird Festival at Tommy Thompson Park program series.
This event is intended for Ages 8+:
- Beginner level information
- Concepts that are friendly for all ages
- Intended audience includes children, youth, and adults
Date and Time: Sunday, May 17th at 10:00am to 11:30am.
Walk Capacity: 25 participants.
Location: Biidaasige Park. Please meet your leader in front of the Old Fire Hall 30 located here.

Cancellation policy: The event will run rain or shine, but will be canceled if there is a greater than 70% chance of thunderstorm or other hazardous weather. Registrants will be emailed by 7:00am on the day of the event if there is a cancellation.
Be Prepared
- Please dress appropriately for the weather.
- Comfortable, close-toed shoes for the approximately 2km walk are recommended.
- Public bathrooms are limited on site. Please plan accordingly.
- Bring a personal water bottle and snacks, if needed.
