Birding Klingle Valley Trail

Join us for a morning of birding along Klingle Valley Trail, a hidden green corridor connecting neighborhood streets to the forests of Rock Creek Park.

This paved trail follows a wooded stream valley that serves as an important habitat and migration route for a variety of birds. Depending on the season, participants may encounter woodpeckers, thrushes, vireos, warblers, flycatchers, hawks, and other species that rely on Rock Creek's extensive urban forest.

One of the most remarkable things about Klingle Valley is how quickly the city seems to disappear. Within minutes, traffic noise gives way to birds, flowing water, and a sense of escape in the heart of Washington, DC.

Whether you're a seasoned birder or simply curious about the wildlife around you, this walk offers a wonderful opportunity to explore one of DC's lesser-known natural treasures.
