About this Event
"In some native languages the term for plants translates to 'those who take care of us'" - Robin Wall Kimmerer.

Join us for a Bioregional Herbalism workshop taught by Naturalist & Clinical Herbalist in Training: Andrea Jimenez.
For this workshop we will focus on local plants that help build resilience during the winter months while taking into consideration modern lifestyle as well as Southern California's environment. We will go over every plant, taste them individually, and everyone will get to craft an individual blend to take home. We will also go over how to extract medicinal compounds of the plants through infusions and decoctions as well as appropriate dosages.
Attendees will get to take home their personal herbal blend.
Light snacks provided.
*Note that plants used for this workshop will be ethically acquired from native plant gardeners, nurseries or growers. We do not advocate wildcrafting without appropriate permits/permission.
