About this Event
Welcome to Bioenergetics with Jeremy! This class will take about an hour and will include an introduction to the Enduring Pattern and how it relates to Bioenergetic practice. Following a short description of the fundamentals of the theory, we will move into specific exercise routines that will cover use of the breath as well as . After the active part of the session, we will move in practicing body awareness akin to meditation, integrating the experience of the workout. We will have time at the end of the session to share experiences and ask questions
What you will need:
We will be stretching and using our bodies, so please wear comfortable, loose fitting clothes and preferably without shoes. You will also need to have a small space where you are able to move around. Plus, you may want a mat or cushion to sit on during the last part of the session.
About Jeremy:
Jeremy is a Brooklyn, NY based certified Bioenergetics facilitator and Mindfulness meditation teacher. Back in 2018, Jeremy discovered Wilhelm Reich and became incredibly fascinated by his theories about the relationship between muscular tension and mental health. He felt on an intuitive level that he had stumbled across a very deep truth that not many people know about. He has practiced Bioenergetics for over 3 years and has had an intensive meditation practice for 6 years. Along with studying the work of Reich and his student and founder of Bioenergetics Alexander Lowen, Jeremy also has a deep background in studying and teaching Tibetan Buddhism having lived with Tibetan communities in India and Nepal.
