This is an invitation to women generally and those particularly who feel in need of a bit of extra moral support an invisible helping hand in their daily lives! The session will be based on the beneficial practice of Biodanza also called the Dance of Life! Women who wish to transform and heal their lives and add in a sprinkle of joy all through simple guided movements would certainly be welcome.
Gail Stewart will be facilitating this taster session which will be followed up by further sessions details to be finalised. Gail a retired NHS Nurse is a fully trained and experienced Biodanza facilitator with many years teaching experience. She is also a well-known and established Sound Journey presenter.
Biodanza is a holistic dance and movement practice that originated in the 1960s in Chile. It was developed by Rolando Toro Araneda a psychologist and Nobel Peace Prize nominee amongst his many other accolades. It combines elements of dance music and group interaction to promote physical emotional and spiritual well-being - and anyone can do it regardless of age mobility restrictions and the like!
During a Biodanza session participants engage in easy gentle guided dance and movement exercises often to specially-chosen music to stimulate the release of endorphins and promote a sense of joy freedom and connection.
There is no charge but any voluntary donations towards the cost of the hall hire would be welcome. However booking in advance is essential. To book or if you have any queries please ring or text Gail Stewart on 07726 360584 or email her at [email protected] Parking is freely available in the school playground adjacent to the hall.
And finally a simple personal test for the benefits of Biodanza that you can conduct is to make a mental note of how you feel generally before a session and then compare it with how you feel after a session – and hopefully note the positive improvements! Thank you.
