Zee Zee is thrilled to be offering this workshop on Saturday, June 13th in recognition of National Indigenous History Month and Pride Month, curated by the amazing Alysha Collie.
Alysha Collie, a Coast Salish youth Artist from the Soowahlie Nation, will facilitate her hands-on ‘Big Beaded Bling’ beading workshop. Whether you’re wanting to update your drag wardrobe, appreciate contemporary Indigenous beadwork or learn a new art form, this workshop will celebrate our intersectionalities through the creation of sparkly earrings.
The workshop will take place in Green Thumb Theatre’s Studio A from 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Space is limited to 25 participants. All workshop supplies needed to complete the earrings will be available to participants in a take home kit with a video tutorial to accompany.
Light refreshments of bannock with jams and Indigenous teas will be offered to all participants.
Come out to kick off Indigenous History month, Pride month or whatever you happen to be celebrating with your own new pair of stunning earrings.
