About this Event
Beyond Gratitude: Adoption, Race, and the Church
Join us in person for a thought-provoking conversation exploring the intersections of adoption, faith, and anti-racist care. Angela Tucker—transracial adoptee and author of You Should Be Grateful—and Rev. Canon Alissa Newton of the Diocese of New York, an adoptive parent, will engage in an honest discussion about the complexities of adoption and the role of the church. Together, they will examine how faith communities can move beyond simplified narratives toward more inclusive, anti-racist, and adoptee-centered care.
Books will be available for purchase.
*We will not livestream this event, but a recording of the conversation may be available at a later date.
