BEYOND BORDERS: Imagining Immigrant Futures
BEYOND BORDERS: Imagining Immigrant Futures will feature the work of immigrant artists in the New York City and Tri-State areas. This presentation will take the form of a one-night exhibition. Proceeds from ticket sales benefitting the New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC). Featured artists will receive full proceeds from art sales.
This event will showcase work that imagines a world in which migration is protected as a human right and visitors are welcomed with dignity and respect. In the context of escalating federal attacks against immigrant communities, this event recognizes the importance of remaining connected to, and grounded in, our humanity and sense of joy.
PARTNERSHIPS
- New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC). The state's leading immigrant advocacy organization uniting over 200 member groups to advance the rights and power of immigrant communities across New York.
- New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA). Established in 1971, NYFA empowers artists and cultural workers across all disciplines through grants, fiscal sponsorship, and professional development.
- FABnyc (Fourth Arts Block). This Lower East Side nonprofit preserves and grows the cultural vibrancy of the neighborhood through arts advocacy, community organizing, and support for local arts organizations.
