Poet Brendan Constantine returns to Beyond Baroque for National Poetry Month with his popular 30/30 Challenge Workshop! Beginning on the last Saturday of March and through every Saturday in April, participants will engage in projects and discussions to inspire even the most reluctant writer. At the end of each session, everyone receives a packet of prompts and materials to keep you writing a poem a day! This is its sixth popular year in a row and spaces will go fast, so reserve today!
This workshop will be conducted across five Saturdays, beginning on Saturday March 28 - Saturday April 25, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. pdt.
All workshops will be held online via Zoom.
About the Facilitator
Brendan Constantine is a poet based in Los Angeles. His work has appeared in many standards, including Poetry, The Nation, Best American Poetry, and Poem a Day. His fifth collection, ' The Opposites Game,’ has just been released from Red Hen Press. He currently teaches at the Windward School and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
About Beyond Baroque
is one of the United States' leading independent Literary | Arts Centers and public spaces dedicated to expanding the public's knowledge of poetry, literature and art through cultural events and community interaction. Founded in 1968 as an experimental literary magazine, Beyond Baroque is based out of the original City Hall building in Venice, California. The Center offers a diverse variety of literary and arts programming including readings and workshops. The building also houses a bookstore with a large collection of new poetry books for sale.
