This powerful film by, local filmmaker Helen De Michiel, follows two young Latino political organizers as they lead a dedicated team to mobilize their community in support of a sugary drink tax. The screening aims to celebrate De Michiel's impactful storytelling and to galvanize our community campaign for the Berkeley Soda Tax, on November's ballot.. Following the screening the Ecology Center will host a VIP fundraising reception down the block at Vintage Berkeley. There, you can meet the filmmaker, leaders featured in the film, and campaign activists while enjoying great food, wine and other beverages.
