Martin and Tyrone check into the Sacred Life Retreat Centre for assisted dying, intending to spend Martin’s last 24 hours together. But as long-buried tensions start to re-emerge, their carefully managed plans for Martin's smooth transition begin to fall apart. With time quickly running out, our protagonists must come up with a plan to reconcile their differences or part ways in anger and regret.
Best Friends, by Paul Anthony Morris, balances humour and sensitivity in this poignant theatre piece delving into the subject of friendship and assisted dying, a highly relevant topic in today’s England.
Featuring an award-winning team of cast and creatives from the US, UK, Canada and China, this innovative theatrical showcase seamlessly blends staged reading and live performance, music, dance and sound and lighting designs. This fusion reveals the artistry behind theatre-making while immersing audiences in a gripping live drama.
