Best Credible Message Contest & Osorio Training Center Open House

Join us for Alameda County Probation Department's Best Credible Message Contest — Contest #4, a powerful community event encouraging youth voices to promote peace, harmony, and non-violence through creativity and self-expression.
Hosted at Osorio Training Center during their Open House and in partnership with Beyond the Ring, this inspiring evening celebrates the idea that when young people speak, communities listen — and when we invest in youth today, we build stronger leaders tomorrow.
Local youth and young adults are invited to share their original messages through art, storytelling, music, poetry, or performance for a chance to WIN a $100 Amazon gift card and more. Community members, families, and supporters are welcome to attend and cheer on our presenters.

Who Can Participate
• Open to local youth and young adults ages 5–23
• Presentation required to be eligible to win
• Entrants invited to present must be present at the event on April 10th
Submission Guidelines
Submissions must be received by April 1, 2026.

Participants may submit original work such as:
• Rap or spoken word
• Poetry
• Song or music performance
• Art or visual storytelling
• Journaling or personal storytelling
Maximum presentation length: 4 minutes
Entries must NOT include:
• Vulgarity
• Gang references
• Offensive or misogynistic language
• Use of the “N-word”
Selected presenters will be notified by April 3, 2026.

Top 5 winners will each receive:
• One $100 Amazon Gift Card
• Backpack and swag bag
• Certificate of participation
