Benito Gonzalez will be playing an electric piano and will be accompanied by Elijah Easton on sax, Michael Bowie on bass and John Lamkin on drums.

· Doors open: 6:30 pm

· Show 7 pm

· All tickets: $25

Benito Gonzalez

Benito Gonzalez is a highly skilled jazz pianist known for his dynamic playing style and expressive performances. Born in Venezuela and based in New York, Gonzalez grew up playing traditional Venezuelan folk music with his family before developing a passion for jazz.

He came to the US after an American cultural ambassador caught on of his trio gigs and invited him to come to Washington, DC. Gonzalez went on to attend the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, where he further honed his skills and immersed himself in the world of jazz. After completing his education, Benito Gonzalez moved to New York City, where he became an integral part of the vibrant jazz scene. He quickly gained recognition for his technical proficiency, versatility, and ability to infuse his playing with emotion and depth.

Gonzalez has played with such greats as Jackie McLean, Kenny Garrett, Azar Lawrence, Bobby Hutcherson, Dave Liebman, Gary Bartz, Steve Turre. Pharoah Sanders and many many more.

Gonzalez's discography as a bandleader showcases his compositional skills and his ability to lead ensembles with precision and creativity. His music often weaves together elements of traditional jazz, Latin jazz, and modern influences, reflecting his multicultural background and wide-ranging musical tastes.
