About this Event
Tiny leopards. On yoga mats. In Mississauga. Welcome to Bengal Kitten Yoga.
This is Bengal Kitten Yoga by Yoga Kawa, and it's the closest you'll get to doing a yoga class with a roomful of miniature wild cats without actually leaving the GTA.
Bengals are something else. They look like they walked off a nature documentary, all spots and rosettes and bright, watchful eyes, and they move with the kind of athletic grace you don't usually see in housecats. The kittens have all of that in pocket-sized form. They climb, they pounce, they investigate everything, and they are absolutely going to make your Saturday more interesting than it was going to be otherwise.
Here's how the hour breaks down:
- 35 minutes of easy, beginner-friendly yoga with Bengal kittens as your spotted little co-teachers
- 25 minutes of pure cuddle time, headbutts and purrs included, no extra charge
Why people keep coming back
Kitten yoga does something a regular yoga class can't. The kittens wander, climb, and curl up wherever they please, and your nervous system just… exhales. Studies (and frankly, common sense) show that time with animals lowers stress, lifts mood, and makes everything feel a little more manageable. You'll move your body, meet good humans, and remember what it feels like to laugh on a yoga mat.
A note on Bengal kittens
If you've never been around one, prepare yourself. Bengals are bred from Asian leopard cats, and you can absolutely tell. The coats look painted on. The eyes are sharp and curious. They're also one of the most playful and people-oriented cat breeds out there, which means these kittens won't just lounge around and look pretty (although they will do that too). They'll engage. They'll climb your back during plank. They'll bat at the strap of your yoga mat like it's prey. It's a lot, in the best way.
A few good-to-knows
Kids ages 5 and up are welcome. Anyone under 18 needs to come with a parent or guardian, and grown-ups are responsible for helping their little ones move gently and handle the kittens with care. The kittens are small, the humans are kind, and the vibe is very much "everyone gets a turn."
Mats provided. No experience needed. Just show up ready to spend your Saturday with a roomful of tiny leopards, some good humans, and an hour that genuinely doesn't feel like the rest of your week.
