About this Event
Bellydance for Wellness
What you will learn
Bellydance for Wellness is a joyful, welcoming workshop exploring rhythm, movement and embodied expression.
This session offers an introduction to belly dance as a form of cultural movement and creative play. Through simple steps, flowing sequences and rhythmic patterns, participants are invited to explore how the body moves with music — building coordination, confidence and connection through dance.
I will be teaching some basic belly dance movements and then putting them together into a short and fun routine to enjoy.
Meet your workshop leader:
Cate Brick
I've worked as a professional bellydancer and teacher for 30 years, performing throughout the UK and abroad, and with clients including Rolls Royce, Virgin and Easy Jet. I recently launched Bellydance Bliss, teaching Bellydance for Wellness classes at the Humble Hub in St Leonards-on-Sea, on the first Sunday of every month.
"Bellydance is a beautiful and soulful dance that originates from the Middle East. It is a wonderful way to enjoy moving your body to gorgeous music, and it feels great!"
Do I need to bring anything with me?
