About this Event
Join The South Downs Social for an evening celebrating Belgian beer, cycling culture and classic Belgian food. Hosted by respected local wine & drinks merchant The Naked Grape (Alresford), this guided tasting explores Belgian breweries found along the routes of the legendary Spring Classics races.
Expect a curated selection of Belgian beers and generous plates of traditional dishes including Wallonian chard & cheese tart (Tarte à l’Djote) or Stoovlees, Belgium’s iconic beef stew all served with classic Belgian frites and mayonnaise.
Perfect for cyclists, beer lovers, and anyone who enjoys great food!
About Cat from the Naked Grape
Cat has been in the drinks trade for over twenty years; the majority of that time was spent running her own Italian speciality wine business. Her love of Belgian beer comes from a last-minute decision to jump on a train to Brussels several years ago. Since then, Belgium has been a frequent stop on her travels for the excellent and varied selection of beers. Cat joined The Naked Grape last year, a local independent wine merchant whose values mirror her own – championing small producers and interesting wines.
