OverviewBeinn Ime is the highest mountain in the Arrochar Alps and, in good weather, provides great views across the Alps, The Cowal Peninuslar to the south and the Highlands to the north. The route starts from the car park at the head of Loch Long and follows a zig zag path up through forest bordering the loch, and then on a path up through the glen between The Cobbler and Beinn Narnian to the Bealach a’ Mhaim. From the bealach the route heads up the broad grassy southeast ridge of Ben Ime, which is followed to the cairn that sits on the summit crag. Gradients are generally moderate, becoming steep from the bealach to the summit. We will return via the same route. On tracks and hill paths.
