We’re inviting nature enthusiasts to take part in a hands-on plant survey of Castle Wood. The aim is to identify and record plant species to assess biodiversity within the woodland. This will help establish a baseline of ecological data to support long term monitoring and guide restoration efforts at Castle Wood. Whether you’re an experienced botanist or a complete novice, your observations will contribute to meaningful conservation work. All equipment will be provided. We recommend downloading the SEEK App by iNaturalist to help with plant ID, and feel free to bring along plant ID books too if you have one. Please wear sturdy footwear and dress for the weather. We meet at the edge of the wood, by the old wooden hut, next to the Lomond School Gym.
