Have you been wanting to make that special baby quilt for an expectant mother? Or maybe a lap quilt for those chilly nights? This is the class you’ve been waiting for! This 4 part Beginning Quilting course will teach you the basic skills of quilt making. At the end of the course you will have a Double 4 Patch quilt in either a baby or lap size to enjoy or give as a gift. Prerequisites: Basic sewing skills (you know how to thread your machine and make a straight stitch) and access to a sewing machine that you can bring to class. Ideally your machine will have a patchwork foot (1/4” measurement) and a walking foot.
You will also need tools for cutting your quilt pieces: cutting mat, rotary cutter, and ruler. If you do not already have these a kit will be available for purchase at the first class for $40.
Cost: $200 for all four classes. This includes all materials to make a complete quilt and a spool of coordinating thread.
Click on the “Ticket” link to register. Registration can also be done on site at The Artisan Hatchery.
Class will be limited to 6 students.
All classes will be on a Saturday from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm.
