Local Artist Instructor HANNAH COMPLIN (see art samples below)
This class is for beginning students who want to learn how to draw realistically from what they see and how to draw like a sculptor to eventually draw whatever they can imagine. Students can continue each month for new lessons, every student can work at their own pace. Color lessons will be using watercolor, which is provided in class.

Drawing Supplies:
- Sketchbook-Canson Mixed Media XL 7x10 or 9x12
- Pencil Set 4H, 2H, H, B, 2B, 4B, 6B and 8B - Mars Lumograph Recommended
- Kneaded eraser
- White eraser
- Mechanical pencil, Pentel Graph Gear recommended
- Pentel Hybrid Technica Pens in size 3, 6 and 8 or Micron Pens 3, 5, & 8
Painting Supplies:
These are not required, as we have classroom use painting kits at the studio. But if you want your teenager to be able to paint at home, here is a suggested materials list.
- 9x12 inch 140lb watercolor paper Fluid 100 Cold Press
- 9x12 inch Canson XL Watercolor, cold press book
- Brushes: Rounds - 2, 6, and 12 Flats - 1/2"
- Watercolors -You can get individual tubes (M. Graham, Cotman/Winsor-Newton, Schminke, Holbein, or Daniel Smith are good brands) Pyrrol Red, Permanent Green Light, Hansa Yellow Deep, Phthalo Blue Red Shade, Dioxazine Purple, Azo Orange, Burnt Sienna *OR* for a great value, search for "Winsor & Newton Cotman Watercolors - Set of 20, Assorted Colors, 5 ml Tubes"
