This six week course provides insight into comedy principles and methods, guiding and improving your skills. You'll write your own 5 min set during the course to showcase at an open mic.
Suitable for both beginners and those with previous open mic experience. Taught in English, but your set can be in Danish.
The focus of the class will be to teach students the notes of comedy: one-liners, premise-based setups, storytelling, and observational.
We will work to perfect the student's setup writing skills so that their comedy sets are clean, understandable and cohesive.
We will also spend time working on character development, with everyone writing a character monologue and one character-based sketch.
