Beginner Sewing Masterclass by Tedela

CLASS SCHEDULE

Class A: Fridays 12-2pm

Class B: Saturdays 12-2pm

Class C: Sundays12-2pm

You will meet on your corresponding days for the following 3 weeks.

No more than 4 students per class to ensure everyone gets the attention they deserve.

You are welcome to bring your own machine, if not you may use ours.

SYLLABUS:

WEEK 1: Learn to thread machine and refill boppins properly. Introduction to straight stitching.

WEEK 2: Application of straight stitch, introduction to zig-zag stitch. For this class students are encouraged to bring an existing article of clothing they would like to work on whether they'd like to embellish with different fabrics, hem, taper, or alter the piece in any way. (e.g. turning a pair of jeans into a denim skirt or vice versa.)

WEEK 3: The final class will be 4 hours long, as we will be creating pieces together as a class completely from scratch. I will oversee students in each phase as they cut, sew, and complete their pieces, which you will be able to take home with you. You have the option to choose between a bucket hat or tote bag for this class. All fabrics/materials will be provided.

** Remember, this is a BEGINNER class. If you alrady have sewing experience we have intermediate classes and drop-in's available on our page as well.
