About this Event
Looking to add a fun and versatile piece to your wardrobe this summer and also learn to sew? This workshop is perfect for you! Even better yet, the length of the skirt can be customized to your preference! Beginners welcome! We will cover fundamental techniques while making a simple garment, including:
- Using a sewing machine
- Taking measurements
- How to use a pattern
- How to hem
- How to incorporate an elastic band
Each ticket is valid for one attendee only, and we’re not able to offer a guest option for this workshop. Please note that a minimum of two attendees is required for the workshop to run. In the rare case that no one else is registered a few days before the scheduled start time, we’ll reach out to let you know. If the workshop is cancelled, your ticket can be refunded via store credit or rescheduled—whichever you prefer. Thank you for your interest, and we look forward to having you join us!
Materials:
- Elastic - included
- Sewing machine - usage is included. If you have your own sewing machine and are already familiar with how to use it, feel free to bring it. However if you're new to your own sewing machine, please either take our 'Learn to use your sewing machine' workshop first or simply use our machines.
- Fabric - You can purchase fabric at the store or bring your own. We recommend 2-3yards of cotton or linen fabric. For a successful experience, please avoid silk, jersey, velvet or anything that's stretchy, sheer, or overly fuzzy.
