Mahjong at Bubbly Side of Life • Beginner Mahjong Basics
Come mahj with us! Mahjong is a centuries-old tile game that is steeped in history, art, and tradition, and will quickly become your newest obsession! Lisa from Blue Tiger Mahj Club will be on hand to teach you all the beginner basics: the tiles, the player card, how to deal, finding your best hand, and so much more! Enjoy a glass of bubbly while you get your mahj-on in a relaxed, fun, & friendly atmosphere!
Ticket includes:
• All mahjong game pieces, accessories, cards, and teaching aids available for use during the event
• One glass of bubbles from Bubbly Side of Life
• Charcuterie cup for each player from Gone Grazy
Agenda
5:50 - 6:00pm • Player arrival, get your glass of bubbly, find a seat
6:00 - 7:15pm • Brief history of mahjong, learn the tiles, objective of the game, learn about beginner hands
7:15 - 7:30pm • Refreshment break
7:30 - 8:30/9:00pm • Deal, Charleston, and game play
