About this Event
“At her first bleed, she meets her power. During her cycling years, she practices her power. At menopause: she becomes her power”
We are excited to host Tammy Ben-Shaul from Austraila for a full day of deep wisdom and embodiment through the cycles of a woman's journey.
Becoming Cyclically Aware: A Path into Sagescence
"Sagescence" is the term coined by Jane Hardwicke Collings to denote the psychospiritual initiation aspects of menopause. While peri to menopause is a physiological transition marked by hormonal changes and the cessation of menses, for the social, psychological being walking in humanity, the rite of passage of Sagescence is frequently neglected.
This unique teaching will be offered in Vancouver to women from early 20s to 100 and beyond. Moving from our childhood and maiden years, we enter the wildly creative Creatrix/Motherhood through which we then meet our preparation to Sagescence, the developmental stage of physiological perimenopause to the famous menopause.
As we gather in a day long women’s circle, grounding ourselves into presence through ritual, guided meditation and invocation. In an interactive, conversational teaching we’ll create the Wisdom of Cycles map.
The purpose is to learn how to practice holding stable awareness, nourishment and wellness through an awakening and remembering of wisdom of cycles.
