Beatdapp Presents: Battle of the Bands

Join us on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at the Hollywood Theatre for a high-energy night where local tech culture meets live music, immersive visuals, comedy, food, and community.

What started as an internal Beatdapp team event has grown into one of Vancouver’s most unique industry nights — bringing together founders, operators, engineers, creatives, artists, A&R reps, music industry pros, and the people shaping the city’s culture on and off the stage.

This is not your typical networking event. It’s a packed room, live bands, audience voting, tech teams performing, tacos outside, immersive visuals inside, and one unforgettable night of connection and collaboration.

Four emerging local acts will compete live for a $5,000 grand prize, decided by audience vote. The winning artist will also receive a performance slot at Railtown Rooftop, hosted by 604 Records.

• Quadra Sound — Classic rock swagger fused with 90s grunge grit and explosive live energy
• Post-Modern Connection — Indie rock meets surf and jazz influences, wrapped in smooth, soulful vocals
• Small Town Artillery Collective — High-powered six-piece delivering horn-driven riffs, big hooks, and relentless stage energy
• Tess Anderson — High-octane alt-rock defined by a powerhouse collision of gritty distortion, glossy pop hooks, and defiant energy

Before the main competition begins, local companies will take the stage with their own internal “tech bands,” celebrating the creativity, team culture, and hidden talent inside Vancouver’s tech ecosystem.

The night will be hosted by Dino Archie, an acclaimed comedian known for his sharp crowd work, effortless stage presence, and ability to keep the energy high from first chord to final vote.

• Dos Amigos Taco Truck serving food on-site
• Live immersive visuals throughout the night
• Interactive event integrations and audience moments
• Live audience voting to decide the winner
