About this Event
Join us for the Dementia Awareness Walk at Beamish Museum on Friday 22nd May 2026, a community event hosted by NCD University Centre and organised by Health & Social Care degree students.
Taking place during Dementia Action Week, the walk has been created to raise awareness of dementia, encourage important conversations, and support fundraising efforts for those affected by the condition. This student-led initiative continues to build each year, bringing together the local community in a supportive and inclusive environment.
The event is open to everyone, including families, carers, friends – and dogs are welcome too.
Set within the unique surroundings of Beamish Museum, the walk offers an accessible and relaxed route suitable for a wide range of abilities.
