Become a citizen scientist for the day and join us for a beach clean and litter survey in Newquay. You'll collect valuable data on the litter finding its way to the coast - and keep your local area clean!

We'll also be running a Deposit Return Scheme interactive workshop from 12:00-13:00 at the Great Western Hotel (TR7 2NE). The session will cover what a Deposit Return Scheme is, how it impacts the environment and what we can all do to support the launch of the UK-wide schemes in 2027.

World Ocean Week 2026
This year, the Marine Conservation Society are celebrating World Ocean Day (8th June) for a whole week!
With the UK’s Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) launching in 2027, we’ll be focusing on drinks-related pollution throughout the week to shine a spotlight on collective action and prove why DRS is so necessary.
