Here We Go Again, Chicago, We Will Rock You), Preeya Kalidas (Bombay Dreams, Bend It Like Beckham, If/Then), Julian Ovenden (Bridgerton, Downton Abbey, South Pacific), Clive Rowe (Carousel, Guys And Dolls, Sister Act), Charlie Stemp (Half a Sixpence, Hello, Dolly, Kiss Me, Kate), Summer Strallen (Love Never Dies, The Sound of Music, Guys and Dolls), Mountview Elaine Paige Scholar Jessica Ibadin with the Mountview Choir (Mountview Chorus Manager, Neil Rutherford) and Capital Voices pay tribute to Elaine as they perform some of her best loved songs from musical theatre and beyond.
During six decades of musical magic, Elaine has starred in an amazing number of hit West End and Broadway musicals – Hair, Jesus Christ Superstar, Grease, Billy, Evita, Cats, Chess, Anything Goes, Piaf, Sunset Boulevard, The King & I, Sweeney Todd, The Drowsy Chaperone and Follies.
She’s performed in concert around the world and recorded 22 solo albums.
Guest-of-Honour Elaine says: “Presenting ‘Elaine Paige On Sunday’ allows me to shine a light on the West End and Broadway’s best-loved shows and songs, as well as introduce my audience to new, upcoming stage productions, so I’m thrilled that Radio 2 are sharing in my love of the genre by celebrating my own 60th anniversary in musical theatre. I’m really looking forward to what promises to be a very special evening.”
