About this Event
Awright, awright, cher — Picture this: Hot ‘n’ spicy crawfish, fat red shrimp, sweet corn on the cob soakin’ up all that flavor, tender red potatoes just beggin’ for a bite, smoky andouille sausage with a lil’ snap, and mushrooms suckin’ up every drop of that seasoned boil piled high for you to enjoy as the live melodic harmonies of Ms. Amy and the Jet Set fill the air. You'll pinch the heads and suck the tails of more than 2 pounds of crawfish as local favorite Countywyde lift the spicy steam from the boil ever higher with their bluegrass pickin' and foot stomping classics. As you savor the flavors of the delicious meal, you sip on a fresh pour of Cajun Drift Ale (Benefitting Bike MS) or an icy hurricane, as The Old Dangerfield Band brings back memories of the day you fell in love with bluegrass. This is Bayou and Bluegrass.
Laissez les bons temps rouler!
Our festival grounds are the parking lot at Whistle Pig, the Tgap Market Place plaza. There is plenty of room for dancing, your favorite camping chair, a blanket, grab a seat under one of our tents, or at one of our tables.
The gate opens at 1:30, and Ms. Amy takes the stage at 2 PM. Then at 4, Countywyde, followed by our headliner, The Old Dangerfield Band, at 6. Festival shut down is 8 PM when they stop playing with last call at 7:30.
You will be able to hear and see the bands from almost anywhere on the grounds. Enjoy these 3 amazing bands in a family-safe space.
Ice-cold beers flow, tall Hurricanes glow like the sunset over the bayou. Sodas and sweet sippers keep everybody cool while the real action’s at the tables...
The air will be thick with the heady kick of Cajun spices; you will taste it before you even step in, cher! The bluegrass will be bumpin’, the washboard’s rattlin’, and the sweet sound of friends and family laughin’ will fill the air like a second heartbeat.
This ain’t just supper, cher — this is a full-on Cajun and Bluegrass celebration! A feast for your taste buds, your ears, your heart, and your belly. A little slice of Louisiana joy right here at Whistle Pig Brewery.
Folks crackin’ open crawfish, lettin’ that spicy, juicy goodness run down to mingle with buttery cornbread and crusty French bread, just beggin’ to sop it all up. Fat shrimp, golden corn, earthy mushrooms, and smoky andouille sausage join the party in this flavor parade they call a traditional Cajun boil.
So grab your spot, come hungry, bring the whole crew, and leave smilin’ — LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL!
