Think Glam rock with a dash of Dark Wave. Throw in some advanced cyber attributes and you get Baya Michaelson. Baya Michaelson (Born: Michael E. Clay), was raised and schooled in the Big Sur/Monterey area. Michael started playing Suzuki Violin at age 2. By 4 he was playing the Piano in classical fashion and at the age of 9 had developed into an Alto Saxophone player.

By the age of 14 Michael had performed in Jazz clubs with the likes of Dizzy Gillespie, Bob Soder and Clyde Stubblefield. Though not keen on Jazz, in 1987 Michael quit the Saxophone and turned to computers as a viable option for creating new musics. This is when the persona of Baya was manifested.

Today, Baya is known as the first musical cyborg; Utilizing cybernetic finger prosthetics, allowing for electronic device control and DATA storage / transfer.

Fun Fact: In 2015 Baya was in an Explosion resulting in multiple amputations and reconstructions. This opened the door for the cyber finger prosethics used today.
