PARATHEATER AND PHYSICAL ACTION
with James Wagner
This 2-hour class will introduce you to some basic paratheatre techniques that were inspired by Jerry Grotowski and developed by Antero Alli over the last forty years.
Once your body, emotions, energy, and imagination are activated with the paratheatrical techniques, the second half of this class will explore how traditional objectives can be translated in a clear sequence of physical actions.
Bring a monologue or 2-page scene you know well and comfortable clothing.
This class will be a great taste test if you are interested in the four-week paratheatrical basics course being offered in June (visit our instagram @bathhouse.arts for more details).
