Overview Music keert terug naar Groningen! drie jaar na hun eerste bezoek aan Bassface is het tijd om te laten zien waar ze mee bezig zijn geweest!Wat zes jaar geleden begon als een nieuw en nog opkomend label, toen ze voor het laatst naar Simplon kwamen, is nu een van de grootste labels in de drum&bass scene. Na nummer 1 hit na nummer 1 hit te hebben gescoord, maand na maand indrukwekkend consistente hoge kwaliteit te hebben uitgebracht, hun artiesten explosief te hebben laten groeien en een aantal van de grootste talenten in de scene aan boord te hebben gehaald, konden we het niet laten om de Overview show van drie jaar geleden te herhalen.
Bassface is erg enthousiast om jullie een line-up te presenteren met artiesten die ze al jaren graag naar Simplon willen brengen, en staan ze allemaal tegelijk op de line-up!
Als eerste is daar Kyrist, drum&bass producer en DJ uit Zuid-Wales. Al jaren een kracht om rekening mee te houden in de drum&bass scene, met een aantal echte klassiekers in het verleden op labels als Critical Music, Hospital Recordings en Dispatch Recordings, om zich in 2024 bij Overview Music te voegen met haar ‘Plexus’ EP. Een briljante combinatie van oldschool techstep en de diepe, donkere en rollende drum&bass waar we zo van houden. Als je nog nooit een dj-set van Kyrist hebt bijgewoond, bekijk dan wat video’s op YouTube en zorg ervoor dat je deze set bij Simplon meepikt!
Bassface presenteert een echte krachtpatser van het Overview-rooster: Koherent. These guys do not miss. Hun ‘Bleep Test’ en ‘Grunges’ EP staan vol met tracks die onze USB’s nooit meer zullen verlaten en die het middelpunt zouden moeten zijn van al je Spotify-afspeellijsten. Het zal zo cool zijn om deze te horen op het Simplon soundsystem en wie weet hebben ze zelfs wat nieuw materiaal om te testen!
Ill Truth brengt de Bristol-smaak waar Bassface zo van houdt. De strakke, vervormde breakbeats en zware, rollende baslijnen zijn precies de combinatie die ze zoeken op een Bassface avond. Hun recente ‘Party’s Over’ album laat zien waar ze van gemaakt zijn en als dit een graadmeter is voor wat jullie kunnen verwachten in Simplon, dan wordt dit er een om in de gaten te houden!
Last but not least: Energy. Overzicht medeoprichter en permanente bewoner van de Volks Club in Brighton, UK (wat zo’n beetje het Subsonic van de UK is). Dat is alles wat jullie moeten weten.

Overview Music returns to Groningen! 3 years after their first visit to Bassface, it’s about time to show us what they’ve been up to!
What started off as a new label 6 years ago and was still and up-and-coming label when they last came to Simplon, is now one of the biggest labels in the drum&bass scene. After scoring numbe 1 hit after number 1 hit, releasing an impressively constant high quality month after month, growing their artists explosively and bringing on board some of the biggest talent in the scene, we couldn’t resist repeating the Overview show that was already amazing 3 years ago.
We’re very excited to present to you a line-up full of artists that we’ve been dying to bring to Simplon for years, now also being able to have them all on the line-up at the same time!
First up is Kyrist, drum&bass producer and DJ from South Wales. A force to be reckoned with in the drum&bass scene for years, releasing some true classics on labels such as Critical Music, Hospital Recordings and Dispatch Recordings in the past, only to join Overview Music in 2024 with her ‘Plexus’ EP. A brilliant combination of oldschool techstep and the deep, dark and rolling drum&bass that we love so much. If you haven’t ever attended a Kyrist DJ set, check out some videos on YouTube and definitely make sure to catch this one in Simplon!
Presenting a true powerhouse of the Overview roster: Koherent. These guys do not miss. Their ‘Bleep Test’ and ‘Grunges’ EP are packed with tracks that will never leave our USBs and that should be the centerpieces of each of your Spotify playlists. It’s gonna be so cool to hear these on the Simplon soundsystem and who knows, maybe they’ve even got some new stuff to test!
Ill Truth brings the Bristol flavor that we love at Bassface. The tight, distorted breakbeats and heavy, rolling basslines are the exact combination we are looking for at a Bassface night. Their recent ‘Party’s Over’ album shows what they’re made of and I it’s any measure of what we can expect in Simplon, this is going to be the one to watch!
Last but not least: Energy. Overview co-founder and permanent resident of Volks Club in Brighton, UK (which is pretty much the Subsonic of the UK). That’s all we need to know.
