The WorksafeBC Basic first aid course is a 7-hour course, excluding lunch and coffee breaks, designed to provide lifesaving first aid skills to workers in the industry. In order to be successful, candidates must demonstrate practical skill competency and achieve 70% on a multiple choice exam.Instructor: WorkSafe BC Basic Instructor
Prerequisite: None
Completion Requirements: Ability to comprehend and successfully demonstrate all required skills, including critical steps; 100% attendance and participation; 70% minimum passing grade on a multiple choice, closed book knowledge evaluation.
Certification: 3-year certification
Course Content:
- Basic Life Support
- CPR A
- Critical airway & respiratory interventions with spinal motion restriction
- Small Wound care
NOTE: Please park in the overflow lot on the corner of School Street & Hodgins Avenue (The parking lot has a sign that shows “Reserved for Victorian Court” our building is Victorian Court). Bring your own Snacks, Lunch and Water or visit any one of the local businesses near by!
