BEST OF THE WEST – BARBRA SHULTE COW IMMERSION RETREATJoin Barbra Schulte for a 3-day retreat focused on connection, communication and confidence in the saddle. Designed for intermediate and above riders, with cattle-experienced horses, this exclusive opportunity is guided by one of the most respected figures in the cutting and performance world.
Barbra Schulte is an American High-Performance Coach, Author, Clinician, Consultant, and Cutting Horse Trainer. After completing college and a master's degree in Speech Pathology, she returned to cutting horses as a professional trainer and later became a certified Personal Performance Coach through the Human Performance Institute. As she continued to study and apply high-performance concepts to her riding and training, Barbra achieved remarkable success, capturing the NCHA Derby Championship, the NCHA Super Stakes Classic Championship, and the Augusta Futurity Championship — becoming the first woman to win all three titles.
She is the author of three books: Cutting, One Run at a Time (2007), and The Little Book of Cutting Tips (2013). In 2000, Barbra and her husband established the Zane Schulte Award to honour outstanding character within the cutting industry.
Her achievements have been recognised with induction into the National Cowgirl Hall of Fame (2012), the NCHA Members Hall of Fame (2021), and the Modine Smith Humanitarian Award (2022).
Above all, Barbra is passionate about helping riders unlock confidence and potential in both the saddle and in life, through the gift of the horse. She and her husband, Tom, reside in Brenham, Texas.
