🇨🇿 Deník Politiken ji nazval „fenoménem současnosti“. A skutečně – jakékoliv skladby se tato kanadská pěvkyně a dirigentka dotkne, změní ji v něco nevšedního. Barbara Hannigan, držitelka Grammy a titulu umělec roku časopisu Gramophone, si v rámci prvního večera své umělecké rezidence na Pražském jaru 2026 přizvala ke spolupráci francouzského klavíristu, jediného pětinásobného držitele prestižní ceny Victoires de la Musique Classique Bertranda Chamayou. Společně uvedou půvabné Chants de terre et de ciel Oliviera Messiaena, se kterými již sklidili úspěchy v mnoha světových metropolích, a českou premiéru cyklu Jumalattaret amerického skladatele a multiinstrumentalisty Johna Zorna na texty finského eposu Kalevala. Závratně náročná skladba byla několik let považována za nezpívatelnou, až do chvíle, kdy se John Zorn setkal s Barbarou Hannigan... Pomyslný most mezi těmito dvěma písňovými cykly vytvoří dvě klavírní skladby ruského hudebního mystika Alexandra Nikolajeviče Skrjabina.

🇬🇧 The daily Politiken described her as “a phenomenon of our time.” This is truly the case: whatever work this Canadian singer and conductor touches is transformed into something extraordinary. For her first concert as Artist-in-Residence of the Prague Spring 2026, Barbara Hannigan, holder of a Grammy Award and Gramophone magazine’s Artist of the Year title, sought the collaboration of French pianist and the only artist to have received the prestigious Victoires de la Musique Classique award on five separate occasions, Bertrand Chamayou. Together they will present the charming Chants de terre et de ciel by Olivier Messiaen, which they have performed to huge acclaim in numerous world venues, and the Czech premiere of the cycle Jumalattaret by American composer and multi-instrumentalist John Zorn, set to texts from the Finnish epic Kalevala. This staggeringly difficult work was regarded as unsingable for several years until John Zorn met Barbara Hannigan... Forming an imaginary bridge between these two song cycles are two piano pieces by Russian musical mystic Alexander Nikolayevich Scriabin.
