Come for a heritage Mother's Day tea at the historic St. Stephen's Church in Saanichton!
This event is the fourth annual Mother's Day tea hosted by Bannockburn Farm, est. 1855, a designated Central Saanich heritage site. This year, we're hosting the event at the nearby St. Stephen's Memorial Hall, a heritage site with a long and close history to Bannockburn Farm, in order to accommodate more families and to showcase the broader community heritage in the Mount Newton Valley.
As always, we pull out the good linens and real china tea cups for this special Mother's Day tea, and you're invited to put on your best springtime finery and to sit down with mom (or anyone who took good care of you who you'd like to celebrate) for fresh-baked scones, homemade jam, and tea. Tea-for-two tickets ($70) include a big bouquet of flowers, from the gardens of Bannockburn Farm, and a card where you can write your message to mom. Additional seated tea tickets are $15 per person (ages 5 and up), and we are happy to accommodate requests for additional bouquets ($40). After tea, stroll down to the heritage St. Stephen's church to learn more about St. Stephen's and Bannockburn Farm. Families are welcome. We love your pooch, too, but, please, no pets!
There are three seatings on Mother's Day, at 10 am, 12 noon, and at 2 pm, and each seating is for 90 minutes. All gratuities and taxes are included.
We always sell out, so be sure to book your tickets early. We're able to accommodate cancellations (with refund) up to 48 hours before the event (until 10 am on May 8th), though please note if you book here the booking fee is not refundable. If you'd like to book directly (no booking fee) please email [email protected], and we can send you instructions for an e-transfer payment. If you're booking separately but wish to be seated together, please be sure to let us know so we can set a table of the right size for your party. There is parking on site.
