An informal, indoor gathering with European folk music and social dancing. This time we are lucky enough to have Portmanteau playing for us, though we expect there will be session opportunities between sets so please do bring your instruments. Check out their website here: https://portmanteaufolk.com/ Approximate timings:
12:00 - Set up. Show up early to join in with the glamorous job of helping to put out chairs, sweep the floor, and get the music started.
13:00 - Portmanteau performing and session opportunity
15:30 - Wind up & set down
16:00 - leave venue
This is a community event. Please bring your instruments and dance shoes and get stuck in.
There will be a bar available to buy tea, coffee, beer, cider, etc.
This is not a ticketed event. We will be collecting donations on the day to cover venue costs (£100) and make a contribution to the band. Please donate what you feel and what you can afford. We can accept donations via cash or PayPal.
Children are very welcome, and are the responsibility of their parents.
