Balboa Saturday with Ana and Anton!
Join us for 3 hours of afternoon Balboa classes, followed by our evening social.
You must already know and be comfortable with Balboa basics to attend - they will NOT be covered in these classes.
Anton and Anastasia (Ana) started swing dancing in 2007.
Soon after, they fell in love with Southern California styles: Lindy Hop, LA Swing, and Balboa.
They have spent years carefully breaking down old-timer dance clips and bringing those ideas back to the dance floor.

What you should know to get the most out of the workshop:
- Balboa basic step
- Lolly Kicks
- Toss-out (regular and behind-the-back)
This workshop will cover three themes:
- Balboa basic deep dive – using the Jigtrot to improve our basic step
- Ed and Inez style overview – focusing on the ad-lib steps this original Balboa couple is known for
- The Other Toss-outs – interesting historical variants of the toss-out swing step
Instructors recommend leather-soled shoes and heels for Follows if possible
