About Anthony Galindez: Anthony was born, raised, and still resides on the Lower East Side. Growing up, he attended Our Lady of Sorrows on Pitt St, LaSalle Academy, Seward Park, and then graduated from NYU with a degree in Science. Growing up in the LES, there was always one dance or another on any given night. The 10th Street park, Amp on 8th and D, Baruch Park, Attorney Street Park, Jackson Street Park, Madison Street Park… Music was everywhere. He always wanted to dance and didn’t know how due to shyness. As he became older, he was able to conjure up enough courage to go learn. That was thirty years ago and it’s now become a passion. The ability to incorporate the steps in dancing provides an aerobic exercise that is priceless. Constantly moving hips, feet, and arms- giving everyone in the class that sense, that feel of a workout. The most important factor in dancing is having FUN!
