About this Event
About this workshop
In this special edition of our bag charm–making workshop, Amsterdam DIY Club partners with artist and stylist @mashamontanari for an evening where craft meets culture.
During the workshop, you’ll create your own bag and key charms while being gently introduced to the rich, often overlooked culture of the Altai people. Through stories, visual inspiration and a live voice performance by Masha, we’ll celebrate Chagaa Bayram, the Altai New Year - and let it inspire your designs. Masha will tell you more about Altai traditions during the event.
You’ll be guided step by step, from shaping your initial idea to assembling your charms using professional jewellery tools and wire techniques. All materials, including semi-precious stones, are included and curated by Masha. She’ll also bring a few special elements directly from the Altai Mountains, which we’ll raffle among participants.
No prior experience is needed - just curiosity and a willingness to create. Come alone or bring a friend, settle into our cosy attic studio overlooking Amsterdam’s canals, sip fragrant Altai teas, chat, and leave with something truly personal.
