Bad Movie Night Brooklyn is back, and we’re taking over Lucky 13 Saloon! Grab a drink, grab some munchies, and get ready to get high, as we’ll be spending 4/20 aboard airline Flight 666 for Turbulence 3: Heavy Metal! Released months prior to 9/11, this airplane thriller became a noteworthy bad movie contender for its bonkers goth-sploitation elevator pitch, twist-filled plot, and limited understanding of the Web as we know it! It’s possibly the craziest airplane movie you’ll ever see, and there’s no better place to experience this movie than in the metal decked halls of Lucky 13 Saloon!
Plot: In the dark world of heavy metal music, no musician is as infamous and controversial as the self-proclaimed antichrist, Slade Craven. When he announces he’ll be performing a private farewell concert to 40 lucky fans onboard a live 747 flight, it feels like a dream come true for his band of metalhead followers. But once the plane takes off and the music gets pumping, things take a dark turn: Slade kills the pilot and takes the entire plane hostage! It’s now up to the FBI, along with a metal-loving computer hacker, to figure out Slade’s master plan and save the day. Trapped onboard and along for the ride are a camera crew lead by a sexy news reporter, and a co-pilot with a mysterious past (Rutger Hauer). Will they be able to work together and stop Slade before anyone gets hurt? Who's going to land the plane? All I can say is: things are going to get... Turbulent 😎
