Curious what a pub was actually like 175 years ago?
On Saturday 28th March, The Robin Hood will turn back the clock to its very first night in 1848. For one afternoon and evening, the pub becomes a fully living 19th-century tavern filled with roaming characters, live folk music and unfolding stories.
There is no stage and no formal performance. Instead, immersive theatre from Blame of Thrones will take place all around you as actors slip between tables, spark conversations and draw guests into a world of railroad deals, secret gambling tables, workers’ debates and whispered conspiracies.
Expect mead in tankards, silver coin payments for drinks and straw underfoot as the pub transforms into the bustling atmosphere of an 1840s tavern. Live folk music from Standing Stones will help bring the evening to life.
Drop in anytime between 3.30pm and 9.30pm. Free entry. No tickets required. All ages welcome. Costumes encouraged but not required.
Step inside and become part of the story.
