Eric Ziegenhagen brings songs and fall vibes to The Hideout, with evocative songs played on a four-string lap guitar that land somewhere familiar and dream-like at the same time. Eric’s latest album ‘Second Husband’ was recorded pre-pandemic by Steve Albini at Electrical Audio and was released to streaming and elsewhere earlier this year.

Leigh Stein is the author of six books, including the national bestseller If You’re Seeing This, It’s Meant For You and the critically acclaimed satirical novel Self Care. She is also the creator of the Attention Economy newsletter on Substack.
Shredded Sun
Shredded Sun is a three-piece band from Chicago, Illinois, that compresses elements of indie rock, post-punk, shoegaze, and power pop into impatient anthems for busy rockers. They cut out most of the fat, leaving you with lean cuts of blown-out guitar, driving rhythm, raucous vocals, and persistent hooks. The three members of Shredded Sun – Nick and Sarah Ammerman and Ben Bilow – previously made up the Fake Fictions, a beloved/underrated trash-pop band that played mostly around Chicago and released three albums and four EPs between 2004 and 2009. They reformed as Shredded Sun in 2015 and have released several albums and EPs that have been praised as having “a mountain of hooks and raw energy” (Chicago Reader) and combining “fuzz rock/shoegaze noiseness, a garage-punk edge, and power pop catchiness” (Rosy Overdrive).
