About this Event
Returning to the serenity of St. Paul’s Chapel, Trinity’s early-music experts explore the more human side of Bach’s art. In contrast to the magnificent large choral pieces of his B Minor Mass, not to mention Handel’s Messiah, today’s concert finds Bach at his most introspective, with works that draw on texts of self-reflection and consolation. Trinity Choir and Trinity Baroque Orchestra perform Am Abend aber desselbigen Sabbats and Warum Betrübst du dich, Mein Herz, cantatas that invite personal meditations on faith, doubt, and inner peace. Led by Avi Stein, organ .
Registration for this free event is highly recommended as seating is limited.
