Real Conversations. Real People. Join us at Awâre for an intimate gathering to meet new people and form deeper, more meaningful connections.
About this Event

Are you tired of small talk? Looking to build deeper, more meaningful connections? Or maybe you're new to Canberra and are hoping to meet people in a genuine way? You’re in the right place.

Small talk is everywhere, at work, at the gym, over drinks on a Friday night. It has its place, but it rarely goes beyond the surface. Most of us crave conversations that actually feel like something.

Awâre is a space for exactly that.

We bring people together to share stories, ideas, and perspectives in a relaxed, welcoming environment. No agenda, no selling, no networking pressure, just conversation and community.

And yes, it’s free!

You might explore questions like:
• What do you love most about where you come from?
• If you could design a new human ability, what would it be?
• If you could live forever, would you want to?
• What do you think is humanity’s most impactful invention?
• What does happiness mean to you personally?
• How do you think ideas of love and romance change over time?

Every circle is a little different, sometimes light, sometimes reflective, always open. You’re welcome to speak, listen, or simply pass when something doesn’t resonate. There’s no pressure to perform or participate beyond what feels comfortable.

All ages, backgrounds, and perspectives are welcome. We just ask for respect, curiosity, and openness. Bring yourself, and maybe a friend if you’d like.

We run on connection, not profit. Donations are optional and simply help keep the space running.

See you there.

Agenda
Arrival & Welcome

Info: We gather, settle in, and go through a short intro about how the circle works. You’ll hear a few gentle guidelines to help keep the space respectful and grounded. Plus, a quick icebreaker.

Light Round

Info: We start with an accessible, thought-provoking question. Nothing too heavy. The goal is to warm up, get comfortable speaking, and move beyond small talk without jumping straight into the emotional deep end. Partner up and chat!

Deep Round

Info: Here we explore a more meaningful question. This is where conversations tend to get layered and honest. It’s not therapy, debate club, or a competition for who can sound the smartest. It’s about listening well and sharing thoughtfully.
